The Revery Energy Map

How you take energy in and what you give off affect how you feel and how others experience you.

This tool helps you map two energy flows: how you receive it (your input) and how you express it (your output).

Energy Input
SpongeDuck
The sponge absorbs, senses, takes in—the moods in a room, a glance, a shift in the air. The duck filters more of that out. Less permeable. It can swim through a storm and barely notice the rain.
Energy Output
SquirrelLion
The squirrel's energy shows up as doing—moving, mapping, organizing. The lion's energy shows up as being—held until it moves. It can lie there until it sprints.

Crossed together, energy input and output form four energy patterns—natural tendencies in how we receive and express energy. A wiring of sorts.

And once you see yours, you can tend it.

What follows are ten short pairs of statements. There's no right answer—only where you actually land, most days, with most people.

Sit with each one, then slide the answer bar toward whichever statement feels truer: all the way, partway, or right in the middle. This takes about three minutes.

The Core Insight

There are no better or worse tendencies—only patterns that are in or out of balance. Every energy pattern is a superpower when it's seen and tended.

Left untended, any of these patterns can tip into its extreme, and every extreme gets heavy.

Energy Out
Energy InSpongeWave"What I take in comes right back out."Deep Current"What I take in goes deep & takes time coming back."
DuckFountain"My energy runs on its own, not on what's around me."Still Water"Not much moves me, and not much moves out—on the surface, anyway."

Did this land? What did it miss? You know your energy better than any tool ever will.
