I’m Aliza (pronounced Al-ee-za), founder of Mariposa Movement, and I’m so honored to invite you to join us in the Costa Rican jungle this January for our next Costa Rica Dance Retreat — a sacred space to reset, reclaim, and remember who you truly are.

- Morning and sunset dance journeys: Ecstatic dance, live DJ sets and somatic movement sessions designed to nourish and support you on every level.
- Nature immersions: Swim in waterfalls, rest in jungle stillness, play in the ocean and feel the earth recalibrate your nervous system.
- Ceremonies & Rituals: During our time together, we'll gather for a cacao ceremony with one of our favorite facilitators, a traditional Temazcal (sweat lodge), and a sound bath to clear the mental static and support you in resonating at your true frequency.
- Inspired sisterhood: Join a circle of powerful women—visionaries, healers, dreamers—coming together to dance, heal, cross-pollinate and rise. Our 2025 retreat truly felt like a council meeting of highly evolved women, we are still riding the beautiful waves of that gathering!
- Organic nourishment: Fresh, plant-based meals to fuel and ground your journey.
- Rest & Replenishment: Daily free time for rest, journaling, bodywork, and soaking in the pool or infinity hot tub (with the most epic ocean views!)

A little about me: I’m a clinically trained, Board Certified Dance/Movement Therapist, and I’ve spent the past decade guiding women to heal, awaken, and embody their fullest power through dance, movement, and music. Before moving to Costa Rica in 2018, I lived in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY (that's how Sarah and I recently connected!). Dance has always been both my passion and my medicine, and I feel so deeply grateful to support other women on their awakening journeys through the power of movement, nature-reconnection and music.
