For the past several years, I’ve had trouble taking a full breath. I could belly breathe, but it would hitch just above my heart, and I’d have to hike my shoulders up and bend slightly to take a full breath in—no more. When I was introduced to Laura at Feel to Heal and her breathwork, I was so excited to reconnect with techniques I’d forgotten: specifically, the Voo Breath. It’s so calming. Grounding. I used it during childbirth, but never outside that time. This learning from Laura combined with bodywork, and EFT I experienced at Spirit Weavers Gathering has made it easy for me to breathe again—fully.
Laura is dedicated to her work helping people who deal with chronic pain—fibromyalgia, pelvic pain, migraines, and anxiety—to experience the healing power within their own bodies. In 2015 Laura was suddenly struck by a chronic pain condition. After three years of searching for a diagnosis with no clear answers, she discovered mind-body medicine—she not only found relief from physical pain, she also experienced profound emotional healing and personal growth. Mindfulness, movement, and spiritual practice are now essential parts of her everyday life. She shares her story and teaches breathwork and somatic techniques to offer hope and support to others navigating chronic pain—to remind them that healing is possible.
