A kitchen witch of the highest order, Kate Sonders-Solomon prepares food that is art. Her Instagram feels like the food is dancing, leaves caressing loaves, pleats of dumplings popping. Her passion is teaching: She hosts classes for kids and adults, and when she’s not teaching or cooking, she’s running the culinary program at Berkshire Hills Culinary Camp. She’s cooked for Kripalu retreats and many women’s events. I met Kate through her food first: grazing boards that have her signature spark of fruit and color amid undulating waves of crackers and mountains of ripe cheese. When I met her in person, we hit it off, living our dream together enjoying food and lady vibes at the Cherry Bombe Jubilee.
